In Microsoft Windows, OLE Automation (later renamed by Microsoft to just Automation), is a mechanism based on COM (Component Object Model). It enables an outside application to call the methods and access properties of another application exporting her own. Here at Xpertdoc, we use this process in Xpertdoc Studio 2007 when adding expression and statement tags to a template.
