Microsoft Office Word is Microsoft's flagship word processing software. Like its name indicates, it is a major component of the Microsoft Office Suite. Since its 2007 release, there has been many changes, including notably the format of the output files being changed for Open XML, a format based on XML, and the ribbon at the top of the window which makes the software even more intuitive for users. These modifications are the reasons why we chose Word 2007 as the host for Xpertdoc Studio 2007, this way, we make use of Word's versatility, the most common text processing software, and the power of modern progamming languages.
